Details
North Charbangshi Union No. 2 is connected to Barisal and Chadpur districts on the westernmost border of the greater Noakhali district and the present Laxmipur district. The union was earlier amalgamated with Greater Char Banshi and Greater Char Ababil Baloka, which came to be known as Char Banshi Union Board Office in 1926 Later in 1936 another union was established called Char Ababil Union Board Office. In 1996, Char Banshi and Char Ababil unions split and two more new unions emerged. The names of 4 unions including the former two and the present two are Char Ababil Union No. 1, North Char Banshi Union No. 2, South Char Banshi Union No. 6, South Char Ababil Union No. 9.
