Union Introduction: North Charbangshi Union No. 2 is connected to Barisal and Chadpur districts on the western boundary of Greater Noakhali district and present day Laxmipur district. The union was earlier amalgamated with Greater Char Banshi and Greater Char Ababil Baloka, which came to be known as Char Banshi Union Board Office in 1928. Later in 1938 another union was established called Char Ababil Union Board Office. In 1996, Char Banshi and Char Ababil unions split and two more new unions emerged. The names of 4 unions including the former two and the present two are Char Ababil Union No. 1, North Char Banshi Union No. 2, Dakshin Char Banshi Union No. 6, South Char Ababil Union No. 9,To the north-west of the said union is Char Bhairabi Union of Haimchar Upazila of Greater Comilla District and present Chadpur District and not far is Kodalpur Union of Ghoshair Hat Upazila of Shariatpur District. North Char Ababil Union No. 1 and South Char Ababil Union No. 9 on the north, South Char Banshi Union No. 7 on the south and Shakchar Union No. 16 (Sadar Upazila, Laxmipur), Laxmipur Formerly Char Mohna Union No. 3 (Raipur) Laxmipur.
